Gardening - the day after
>> Thursday, May 7, 2009
Well, the midscapular area of my back is fine - sure can feel that I WORKED yesterday in my lower back and neck and legs and stomach and...well, you get the idea.
I am very stiff and sore - but a few painkillers later, I'm about set (when Judge Joe Brown is over) to get off my butt and go do some planting.
Am going to walk up to the mail and the grocery store, too... and sometime soon I think I'm going to try heading the other way and see how far I can manage ... someday (soon) I would love to be able to walk all the way to Midland.... THEN I would have some independence! Or I guess I could ditch the mutt and try to bike it. I really don't feel all that safe on a bicycle though - I figure that if I faint while biking I am a lot more likely to hurt myself. But I do seem to be fainting a lot less these days, so might be worth a try.
That's some good news, Flit! Don't overdo it, though -- it can take a full 48 hours for your body to get sore.
Easy does it Flit! One thing I don't like about painkillers is they mask the warning when you really hurt something. You've still got plenty of Spring left, so you don't need to get the garden done all at once.
Flit, gardening will get you and so will the walking. I found I have to ease into it. But am tickled at your progress and you are doing great. Lynn
Have fun gardening I worked on that from last Friday to this Tuesday when the rain came down and boy was I sore. I got better sleep though.
I hate gardening, but I love the results! My step-dad plants a nice garden every year and I enjoy the spoils. I just do not like getting dirty and sweaty...or all the bugs... :D

Gardening is great exercise. I'm with Kelly and hate gardening but love the results.
